Nature Calls

I made this card for my sons birthday,  He doesn't like porta potties.  It seems like they are at all of the sporting events.  He calls them "Stinky Toilets"  I think he will get a kick out of this.  I am linking this up to DL Arts 1,000 Post Linky Party CHECK IT OUT HERE  There are so many cool submissions.

Lit Up Cake

When I was looking through my stash of cards I realized that I didn't have many Birthday cards that could be for a gal or guy.  Most of them had bling on or were too elaborate.  So when I saw that the challenge at FCCB is to use a candle.  For more information CLICK HERE. I looked thru my booklets for a shaped card.  There were a few good ones in Something to Celebrate.  I think I will make a few more.  When I use the card feature on this cartridge I play around with the sizes.  I cut the card at 4.53"; the base at 4.18" and the cake at 4.06".  The ribbon was originally red and white.  I inked it up with Tim Holz Distress ink. My friend, Diana is having a 1,000 Post Linky Party CLICK HERE to join in the fun. There are a few more days left to submit your project.

BALCK & GREEN FOR HALLOWEEN

Here is a card I have had in my brain for a long time.  I wanted a certain color of green glitter paper for it.  DCWV has this great soft glitter paper.  I used "The Glitzy Glitter Stack" for the greens and Dazzle for the silver.  I always have a hard time photographing sparkly and foil papers.  Karen at Little Scrap Pieces is having a "Black and Green Challenge"  CLICK HERE to find out more information.  Diana at DL Art is having a Halloween/fall Colors/ Owl Challenge. CLICK HERE to join in the fun

You're a Good Noodle

I made this card for a friend at work.  The sentiment says "You're a Good Noodle"  It is by scrappy moms.  I wrapped Sew Easy thread around the top of the Chopsticks. (from a fast food place, cut to fit card)  The bowl is cut from Create A Critter.   I put a lot of 3M dimensional tape on the bag of the bowl, then I swirled twine around the chopstick and the top of the bowl.  The twine is from Liz's Paper  Loft.  The papers are "Konnichiwa" by Basic Grey

"TREATS FOR MY SWEET"

Good Morning.  I woke up way to early this morning 3 instead of 5.  So I decide to post some Halloween projects I made yesterday.  I am loving the "Trifold card Die" from my Creative Time.  I got the idea for this treat holder from Emma CLICK HERE for more details.  I wanted a little wider holder so I use the envelope die for the front of the holder and the card die for the back.  My first attempt (the orange one) didn't turn out how I imagined.  When I put it down on my messy desk tape got adhered to the front.  I tried to cover it up.  Oh well the candy bar will hide that part.

OLDIE BUT GOODIE HALLOWEEN CARD

Cardz Tv has a challenge going on to make a Halloween card using the card feature on a Cricut cartridge. CLICK HERE for more information.  I used one of Mary's stamps for the "Hot Diggity Dog" sentiment.  I had to put a cat in there, so I used My Creative Times "Treats for my Sweet" I searched thru my booklets and came up on an old one that I haven't used for ages.  "Paper Pups"  I cut the card at 5.24 twice.  First I cut it out in black card stock.  Then I cut it out with K&Company double sided Halloween card stock.  I trimmed the black puppy to fit over the polka dot one and adhered it using Zip Dry.  I am entering this into a Halloween card for a child challenge at DL ART  CLICK HERE for details and to see Diana's great monster card.

BIRTHDAY GIRL

Here is a card I made for a friend's 50th birthday.  I had my Twinkle Toes  cartridge out from a project I made last week.  Boy there are some cute cuts on there.  I didn't use the tut or bow cut.  Instead I used some ribbon that I had won from "Little Scrap Pieces"   Speaking of "Little Scrap Pieces" Karen is having a pink challenge.CLICK HERE to see two great cards using Kate's ABCs and information on the challenge.  (On my wish list)  All paper is DCWV, except for the base which is Colorbok.  I used Spellbinders Labels Eight for the center pieces and Elmers Designer Masking Tape. The sentiment is Jillibean Soup.  I am also entering this into a bird or chick challenge at "Pause, Dream and Enjoy"CLICK HERE for details.
